Adobe Audition Not Recording Mic
Create a folder at the root of the hard drive where you want the Primary Temp Directory (for example, AuditionTemp). In Adobe Audition, choose Preferences Media & Disk Cache. Adobe Audition Record Audio
First, the material needed is:
-A microphone

Be sure that Audition is working properly and ready to operate and then, press 'Multitrack' in the upper-left corner to be able to have access to multiple recording tracks; it will make it easier to record more content at once and mixing it together. Name the file accordingly and save it at the location needed. This is an important step, so the work is always somewhere to be found.
Second step is selecting the track, which the voice is recorded on. To execute this step, one must be assured that the 'R' symbol on the left side of the track is red, which means that it is ready to record. A mono track, which is a monophonic sound (a sound that is coming from one source), is often used for the voice part of the recording. The user might need to create such track.
To create this mono track, click on 'multitrack' on the top menu and then on 'Tracks' and the option to apply a mono track will be available.

Third, place the microphone about 3 inches from the mouth, which is about 8 centimetres. Stand if needed to help with your breathing and to effectively say what is needed. Have the text where it is possible to see and rehearse if necessary. Have someone else hear it if required.
Last step is to press the red circle, the record button, at the bottom of the screen and everything is in place.
If the user encounters any troubleshoot, such as the soundwaves are not appearing on screen, be sure that every piece of equipement is connected properly (the microphone and the speakers or headphones) and verify if the correct track is selected. If the problem persist, repeat the steps.
Adobe Audition Not Playing
In short, a microphone, a computer and Adobe Audition is needed. Audition must be set in the 'Multitrack' function and a name and save location needs to be applied. Be sure that the 'R' is highlighted and place your microphone is placed accordingly. Click on the right circle at the bottom of the screen and the recording is ready to go. The only thing left is to have fun with the special effects provided with the program.
